Bio

  • The Miriam College High School (MCHS) Glee Club is one of the official performing groups of the Miriam College community. It is composed of high school students aged 13 – 18 years old.
  • Under the direction of Ms. Nancy C. Roman, the MCHS Glee Club won the gold (Youth of Equal Voices) and silver (Folklore Acapella) medals, Champions Category at the recent 8th World Choir Games held in South Africa. At the 7th Musica Eterna a Roma held in Rome, Italy in July 2016, they won two gold diplomas; a gold medal and a gold diploma at the World Choir Games held in Riga, Latvia in July, 2014; two gold diplomas at the 7th World Choir Games held in Cincinnati, Ohio in the USA last July 4 – 8, 2012 where they were declared Category Winners in the Equal Voices and Sacred Music categories of the Open Competitions for garnering the highest scores. In recognition of the glee club’s participation at the World Choir Games, the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts awarded them its first Ani ng Dangal awards last February 2013.

Starting April 2019, the choir has been under the leadership and direction of Mr. Anthony Go Villanueva. They recently won 2nd Prize in the Equal Voices category of the Andrea O. Veneracion International Choir Competitions held last July 2019.
