Bio

  • The Seattle Chinese Chorus, is a nonprofit organization in the State of Washington USA. Its mission is in the pursuit of excellence in choral singing in a wide range of Chinese and western choral literature and to promote harmony, diversity and cultural appreciation of different type of choral styles and languages.
  • SCC has more than 60 plus members from the Seattle community. Its members are professionals from all walks of life making up a multicultural, multi-interests and friendly environment for friendship, sharing and learning.
  • SCC present at least one annual concert in the City of Bellevue. Past presentations and performances have included concerts with the Seattle Youth Orchestra at Benaroya Hall; the 70th Anniversary Yellow River Cantata concert at Meane Hall at the University of Washington with the Orchestra of Seattle. SCC is also actively involved in civic and cultural performances in the Seattle community like Celebrate Asia with the Seattle Symphony, the Boeing Centennial Celebration, and the Chinatown Senior Recognition Gala. Seattle Chinese Chorus is a returning Silver Award recipient of the 2012 Interkultur World Choir Games competition in Cincinnati.
