Bio

  • The Pioneriya chilren’s choral studio was founded in 1953 by Georgy A. Struve, the People’s Artist of Russia and a famous composer. Over the fifty years of its existence the choir has brought up several thousands of followers, 400 alumni have later become professional musicians. Its followers include hundreds of choral groups based not only in Moscow and Moscow Oblast but also in the near and far abroad.
  • The Pioneriya choir visited more than 100 cities of the former Soviet Union, represented Russian choral arts at different international events in Belgium, France, Finland and Germany.
  • The choir is in high demand with in terms of its concert activity and is a regular winner at various international contests and festivals.
