Voices of Hilton

Land: Zuid-Afrika
Dirigent: Jaco Dippenaar

Bio

  • The Voices of Hilton is a young South African male vocal ensemble with members mostly between the ages of 16 – 18 years, and usually chosen from the Hilton College Choir. Hilton College is a private boys’ school founded in 1872 in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands on a farm just outside Pietermaritzburg.
  • The group’s repertoire ranges from choral music in the Western tradition and arrangements of popular songs, to traditional African music and commissioned works. Their long-term goal is to establish a proud tradition of good singing and to create opportunities for young talented men to find a vehicle for self-expression, social development and mental and emotional well-being.
  • In the time they have been active, they have toured and performed nationally in the Free State Province, the Karoo, the North West Province, and Kwa-Zulu Natal, as well as internationally in 2011 to Norway.
